Extended level with a nearly finished objective "Find, Collect & Return the Golden Carriage"
New to the update is a larger map with more atmospheric lighting and sounds. The update also includes a proof on concept scripted event to help build a more mysterious atmosphere. This new map layout also includes more finalised assets with some being UVed and textured before being placed into the scene.
This level also incorporates some subtle blueprinted events to add to the atmosphere and tests a concept for showing the psychological mindset of the character by making the player question their memory. This was achieved by changing the environment once the player had already passed through. This meant that the return journey was slightly different than the first time through, leaving the player to question whether things had changed or not.
This was achieved by simply toggling the visibility and collision of the actors within the scene once the player had passed a certain trigger. These actors would be placed to block old pathways used by the player.
This updated level also includes better lighting to help guide the player through the level, such as a flickering light above the far door. This was achieved by randomising a float input and determining whether it was greater than a set value.
